Background

This programme has been planned by the Bureau of Arts and Cultural, Student Leadership and Development Committee (JKPS), SME Bank Student Residential Hall, Universiti Utara Malaysia. The first edition of the event was organized in 2009.

The idea of this programme is inspired by the diverse cultural backgrounds of different races in Malaysia. With the unique identity of our beloved nation, we are inspired to introduce and showcase a variety of traditional customs and cultures in Malaysia to the students in UUM. The idea of organising this programme is to build a better integration among students regardless of the races. With that core value, Kachi Festival is having a strong and diverse team in terms of capabilities, races and talents.
